Janna M. Hefty
Janna focuses her practice in the areas of family/collaborative law, collaborative practice and estate planning. She is a Rule 114 Qualified Neutral who strives to empower parties to maintain individual self-determination through the resolution process. After moving to New Prague in 2020, she joined Wornson Goggins PC in early 2021, and has enjoyed establishing connections in her new community.
Janna graduated with honors from Southwest Minnesota State University with a Bachelor of Science in 2005. She then explored a number of careers including work for a Fortune 500 company, a contract onboard Norwegian Cruise line, and served for a number of years as a qualified Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician for rural emergency response crews. It was when she became the victim in an armed robbery that she felt called towards the pursuit of an advanced degree.
She attended Northern Illinois University and completed both a Juris Doctor and a Master of Business Administration within a 3 year time frame; graduating with honors from both programs. During this time, she was chosen as an Apple Scholar, completed an internship with the 2nd District Court of Appeals, and an externship with the Domestic Relations Division in Cook County (Chicago) Illinois.
Although her path to becoming an attorney was anything but traditional, Janna is thankful for her diverse background and joyful to have found a career where her personality and skill sets are able to converge for the benefit of her clients.
