Brooke A. Holmes

Brooke provides client-centered representation for family law and criminal law clients. She assists clients relating to divorce, custody, child support, spousal maintenance, modifications, post-dissolution issues, stepparent adoptions, paternity, and domestic abuse cases. She works with her criminal clients from the beginning investigation or charges through the trial, helping explain the process, work to get a favorable plea deal, or put forth the best defense at trial.

Brooke was born and raised in Forest Lake, Minnesota but moved to New Prague in 2018 with her now husband, Dylan Holmes, who grew up in Jordan, Minnesota. She attended St. Cloud State University and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. After completing her undergraduate degree in two and a half years, she attended Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul and graduated with her Juris Doctorate in January of 2019. Brooke passed the Minnesota Bar Examination and was admitted to practice law in Minnesota on April 30, 2019.

Brooke practiced landlord-tenant law her first year of practice appearing in over forty counties, participating in initial appearances, motion hearings, and trials. She began working in Mankato, Minnesota, in March of 2020 practicing family law and criminal law. Brooke was awarded Minnesota Attorney of the Year in 2021. She currently serves on the South Central College Board of Directors and volunteers for Scott County Legal Services. 

When Brooke is not at work, she is at home with her husband, daughter Maya, and two dogs Chester and Ranger. She spends some of her free time writing legal thriller novels and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings.
